Service Description
This initial visit includes a comprehensive history and exam to we have a complete understanding of your body. Chiropractic care focuses on the musculoskeletal and nervous systems, with particular attention to the spine, joints, and their role in overall body function. It is commonly used to support the management of back pain, neck pain, joint stiffness, and tension-related headaches. The spine acts as the central structure connecting the body, influencing movement, stability, and communication within the nervous system. The muscles, ligaments, and joints of both the cervical spine (neck) and lumbar spine (lower back) play a key role in posture, mobility, and load distribution. When these areas are not functioning optimally, they may contribute to pain, stiffness, reduced mobility, and symptoms that can extend into surrounding regions such as the shoulders, hips, and extremities. Dysfunction in the spine and related structures may also influence peripheral areas of the body, contributing to altered movement patterns, muscle imbalances, and compensatory strain through the limbs. Certain headache types—including tension headaches, migraines, hormonal migraines, and cervicogenic headaches—may be influenced by dysfunction in the neck and upper shoulder region. Treatment Approach The focus is on identifying and addressing the underlying cause, rather than only managing symptoms. Through manual adjustments and complementary techniques, chiropractic care aims to improve joint mobility, reduce muscular tension, and support optimal alignment across the spine and extremities. This may assist in relieving pain, improving range of motion, and enhancing overall physical function throughout the body. For headaches—particularly tension-type and cervicogenic headaches—care may address contributing factors such as neck dysfunction, muscular tightness, and postural imbalances. For lower back pain, treatment may support improved spinal mechanics, load distribution, and movement efficiency. Addressing these regions can also positively influence function in peripheral areas such as the hips, pelvis, shoulders, and limbs. Overall, chiropractic care is often used as part of a holistic approach to support pain relief, movement efficiency, and nervous system function across the whole body.
